OVERSIZED GLASSES
Structural Glazing or Curtain Wall designed with large
panels require a double capability at the same time:
- EXPERTISE in GLASS ENGINEERING and proven experience
related to the USE of OVERSIZED glasses.
- CAPABILITY to FABRICATE and SUPPLY oversized
HEAT-TREATED, LAMINATED and INSULATED panels.
Here at ARCHIGLAZE NORTH AMERICA it is common dealing
with OVERSIZED GLASS LITES. The reason has deep roots
in the past: glass engineering was conceived and
developed in order to allow the feasibility of the full
transparency architectural design in the late 80's ...
and WE WERE THERE.
Nowadays, after YEARS of experience and successful
installations worldwide, we can ASSURE our knowledge
related to oversized glass and our capacity to choose
and provide complex, large panels with SHORT LEAD TIMES
and COMPETITIVE PRICES. Oversized glasses are
considered a specialty, very expensive and difficult to
obtain just for marketing reasons; but it isn't when
your glass contractor or glass engineer is REALLY
familiar with glass resistance and wide surface
handling. Just ask, and compare the market offer when
this is related to specific glass size and application
requirements.
DESIGN LAYER AND ETCHING
Combined Solar Control functions and design custom
requirements may be a technical feature when applied in
the glass body during its fabrication.
Specifically CERAMIC FRIT is the main resource, giving
as result a full glass body after a surface treatment.
Ceramic-Frit is not merely a standard decoration: when
it is used in combination with a thermal analysis can
be one of the most effective solar barrier and
generates insulation. Aesthetically, it gives the
magnificent result conceived by the designer's idea;
therefore we believe it is necessary to conglomerate
GLASS SIZE and RESISTANCE, DESIGN FEATURES with THERMAL
and VISION purposes, ALL IN ONE, in order to achieve
the perfect performance of the entire glass-wall.
ETCHING has a major aesthetic added value and all the
advanced technologies available (acid, CNC water-jet,
abrasion, etc.) can be married with an old fashioned
artistic and handcrafting expertise, still extremely
updated for 3D sand-blasting, manual carving, etc.
Again, the final scope is the fusion of various
know-hows in reliable, safe and engineered glasses for
multiple purposes: for INTERIOR and EXTERIOR
applications.
